Each apartment is provided with individual meters for electricity, heat (hot water) and cold water, which are owned by TMESL and read remotely by Switch2, the billing and metering administrators. A programme to replace all meters to all apartments at the expense of TMESL was commenced in July 2021 and is due for completion by the end of 2022.

There is ongoing uncertainty within the global wholesale gas and electricity markets. We urge all tenants to stay aware of movements and trends in these markets. This will allow for an understanding of potential price variations as TMESL current fixed term contracts conclude (see the tariff page to see when current energy agreements expire).

Smart Thermostats 

A smart thermostat is a type of thermostat that controls your heating via a smartphone. A smart thermostat can sense if you are not in your apartment and sets the heating to ‘eco’ mode, which saves energy.

We continue to invest in the supply of utilities and have recently installed 3 new gas boilers to provide hot water for central heating and domestic use. The modern new boilers are designed to offer improved efficiency, reduce gas consumption, and help to combat climate change.
