Smart Thermostats
A smart thermostat is a type of thermostat that controls your heating via a smartphone. A smart thermostat can sense if you are not in your apartment and sets the heating to ‘eco’ mode, which saves energy.
Each apartment is provided with individual meters for electricity, heat (hot water) and cold water, which are owned by TMESL and read remotely by Switch2, the billing and metering administrators. A programme to replace all meters to all apartments at the expense of TMESL was commenced in early 2022 and is due for completion by the end of 2022.
