Information for Selling and Letting Agents

It is essential that under no circumstances must any apartment be drained down.

Hot water for central heating and domestic use for the apartments is circulated around all the upper floors by a communal pipework system fed by three gas boilers located in the main plant room.

Letting and selling agents must not attempt to drain down the apartments. Attempts to undertake this task will create problems elsewhere within the system, when carried out in isolation.

We reserve the right to charge any person or agents the cost of rectifying any system issues resulting from an unsanctioned attempt to drain the system.

Owners intending to leave the property unattended for an extended period should note that they must inspect the plumbing and heating installations on a regular basis to ensure pipework is not leaking. This is particularly important as the heating and hot water supply is under higher pressure than within a standard domestic home.

To allow for cleaning and to provide a backup, should the onsite system fail, there is an external supplier who will supply mains water.
